Q: Should I get a tarp or cover for my brand new Nissan 350Z?
Since I do not have a garage, will a tarp or some other cover protect my new Nissan 350Z from inclement weather (hot sun, snow, acid rain, etc.)”
A: what you need is a water resistant “breathable” car cover. breathable means it won’t trap moisture inside when you cover the car when it’s wet or when the sun evaporates the water under the car causing the moisture to rise up between the car and cover. breathable covers will let the moisture evaporate through the cover. keeping the car waxed is very important.
Q: Is it a good Idea to put suicide doors in a brand new Nissan 350Z?
I’m about to come back from Iraq and I wanna buy me a new car, and install the door kit on it, but I don’t want the car to get messed up.
This doors open like the ones in a Lamborgini would
A: First I’ll give you (and at least one of the other posters) a lesson on car door terminology.
Suicide doors are not what you are talking about (seeing your additional info). Suicide doors are rear hinged doors. Look at the Rolls Royce Phantom – the rear doors are like this, as are the front doors in the coupe. I believe they are the only cars on the market with true suicide doors (the back doors in an RX8 and others don’t count since they require the fronts to be opened first).
Someone else mentioned gull wing doors, but they are completely different too, and definitely not what you are talking about. Gull wing doors have hinges in the roof and open upwards. DeLorean, Bricklin, and the old Mercedes 300SL Gullwing had these.
The generic term for what you’re talking about is scissor doors, more commonly called lambo doors (for obvious reasons).
As to whether this is a good idea, I don’t think it is. Here’s why: you’re going to take a brand new 30-35K car, and spend a considerable amount of money for what? Will it improve the car in any way? Comfort, speed, looks, handling? None of the above. The only time anyone will see these doors is when you’re getting in or out of it. On top of that, if you try to sell it in a couple of years, you will have eliminated 90% of the potential buyers for the car since nobody over the age of 25-30 would ever consider a car with this “feature”.
Good car choice, but better to spend your money on some custom wheels or something like that if you want to give it something extra – something that people will see all the time, not just when you’re getting in or out of it.
Q: What type of car should i buy in 2009 the new chevy camaro or the new nissan 350z ?
Any suggestions?
A: go for the nissan 350z
cus chevy right now is fuc**d and if u want to find parts is goin to be hard in the long run
Q: I got a new Nissan 350Z and I want to put twin turbo in it?
Which brand should i get and about how much more horse power would it give me?
A: I would suggest that unless you’re willing to void your warranty, do NOT do this.
For the question, HKS & GREDDY would be your best bet. These companies are used by the best tuner shops in Japan (i.e. TopSecret, Ings+1). Depends on the boost “stage” you’re purchasing, you’re looking at 150-200rwhp additional on stock motor. Of course, boosting also requires tuning and controllers, so on top of the $5-6k price tag, you’ll spend about $3k more for dyno time, tuning, and boost accessories.
Yes it CAN be done without rebuilding your motor since the VQ35DE can support up to 600HP. The boost kit already comes with all the necessary equipment (and make sure to buy the ones that come with intercoolers). The only thing you do is slap it on, tune it, and enjoy it.
Good Luck.
Q: How many miles to the gallon does the new Nissan 350Z get?
A: When they tell you that information, there is always a disclaimer.
“Your mileage may vary”
That’s the real answer. It depends on how you drive. If you are in an area with a lot of hills, and stop and go traffic, and you drive like you are trying out for NasCar, not much.
Q: How much is a new Nissan 350z?
New?
Used?
A: Do you mean a 370z? Nissan stopped making 350s already.
Q: If i were to add nitrous to my new nissan 350z?
How much faster and how much more power would it give it?
A: Nitrous isnt illegal, It can give great power gains depending on how its set up, and it can even be done reliably with a competent driver.
You could maybe see 70 more HP out of a heavy shot of nitrous.
brett, youre a complete moron. Nitrous is completely legal. Nitrous purge kits would be the fastest way to let the cop know you have N20 in the car anyways. Thats usually for show, not for hiding an “illegal” substance. the only thing that would make using nitrous illegal would be the fact that youre usually racing someone and breaking the speed limit when you use it.
Q: My car dealer offered me a five year (60,000 miles) bumper to bumper warranty on my brand new Nissan 350Z.?
Is a 5 year (60, miles) bumper to bumper warranty for $935.00 on my new Nissan 350Z a good deal? Are car warranties worth the cost?
A: talon699 supplied a link, but didn’t read it. Your basic warranty is 5 years on the drive-train, and 3 years on the rest of the car. To get bumper-to-bumper for 5 years, that is a good price. If your a/c compressor goes in the 4th year, for instance, it is very pricey. I know, it happened to me, and the cost would have been more than I spent on my warranty, so I was happy I purchased it.
Q: How ’bout a new Nissan 350Z vs. a new Infiniti G37?
I know they’re essentially the same car but the G has a back seat and the Z is smaller and probably lighter. Any thoughts.
A: I’d rather have the old G35…but the 350Z is a nice consolation.
Q: Going to buy a brand new Nissan 350Z?
Does anyone know of any good aftermarket part suppliers for it?
Im in America, so don’t tell me to buy a car that isn’t available here, plus shipping them by boat is devastating to a cars overall performance.
Also, I am getting this brand new, off the dealership lot. I have up to one hundred thousand to spend, but I want to get something in the thirty thousand dollar range, and invest the rest. I want a car with a warrantee, my car now keeps breaking down on me. I am going to order as many Nismo parts from the dealership as possible, but they are limited! This will be the 2007 model, and I am having a real hard time finding anything online from like HKS or Veilside, besides body panels!
A: The 350Z aftermarket is growing more and more as time goes on. The big names (GReddy, HKS, Turbonetics, Stillen, etc) have all made aftermarket stuff for them. Depending on what you are looking for, of cfourse- but more and more keeps coming out for the 350Z because it’s such a wonderful performer, the “Japanese Mustang,” if you will.
Go find a 350Z forum online and join other enthusiasts to fuel your passion for this gorgeously sexy driving machine. Best wishes with the new 350Z! I envy you!
Q: About how much a month is it to have insurance on a fairly new Nissan 350Z Roadster Convertable?
A: Try this link: http://www.buddyandoscars.com/auto_services.htm You can get free quotes from an independent company that isn’t going to try to sell you a policy.
Q: Does the new nissan 350z have a backseat?
A: No backseat, and only about a 1-body trunk, so no doubledating for Z enthusiasts
Q: Should I buy a new 2008 Nissan 350z?
In the economy, should I consider purchasing a brand new 2008 nissan 350z base model? I am a college student making about $1000 a month and can pay for the car. The car is about $20,000 and im planning on putting down $3000-5000 down payment with great credit, interest rate 4% for 60 months. Should I do this??
A: If you do the math the new Z will cost you about $400 a month. The Z also has a big tank (20 gallons) at 18/24 mpg, plus insurance which will be full coverage on a new vehicle. Then you tack on your food and other necessities…basically, you’ll have a sweet ride to go out in, but you wont have any money left to get inside =(
Q: i got a new nissan 350Z and i want to put twin turbo in it , which brand to choose for my car ?
A: Go Stillen. They specialize in Nissan. And as the other posters said, Greddy, can’t go wrong there either.
Be aware though, I’m 99% sure you also need to change the hood to be able to fit a turbo or supercharger in the engine bay.
Q: New 2008 Nissan 350z stiff clutch!?
i bought a new 350z last week and it’s manual 6spd. Is the clutch supposed to be stiff for all new cars? I’ve never driven a stick shift before, and it seems a bit hard since the clutch is all stiff. Will it smooth out as I continue to drive the car?
A: Its supposed to be much stiffer in a sports car. It gives more cltch control that way. If it gets soggy or loose, thats when there is a problem.
