Q: Can an RB26DETT (Nissan Skyline engine) fit into the engine bay of a Nissan Sentra SE-R?
I was wondering if it’s possible to swap the engine from a Nissan Skyline to a Nissan Sentra, and if possible, how much would it cost? Do you know any tuning companies who would do it? Or know how to do it?
A: Don’t ask how much it costs. Because if you have to ask how much it costs you can’t afford it.
Full conversion probably 12-15k parts and labor.
Does it fit? Nah…you MAKE it fit.
Oh and to correct you (so you sound smarter talking to honda civic owners about vtec and poorly built short ram intakes), the rb26dett is the r34 engine. It’s not a “skyline” engine. Skyline is a general moniker given to the Nissan Japanese equivalents of Infinitis. Why the hell don’t people know this already. In Japan a g35 is a SKYLINE.
Q: where can i find a nissan skyline gtr in the internet?
am looking 4 a nissan skyline gtr in the internet but dont know what sites are good. it dosent matter if its imported
A: Be sure to have at least $80-$90k available to purchase one. They are very expensive to get a hold of. If I can, I will find the site where I know they sell clean titled skylines for about as much as I stated. Look for an update. If no update, then I did not find the site.
Edit: This wasn’t the site I found previously that had quite a few skylines for sale, but the site I found seems reliable.
www.dupontregistry.com
Then do a search for the skyline. I see at least 4 available. No prices to be seen, as you will have to call them.
Q: Is it legal to have a Nissan Skyline R33 or R34 in New Jersey?
I was just wondering if it is legal to have a Nissan skyline gtr R33 or R34 in The State of New Jersey (and yes i know they made A Nissan skyline R35 FOR THE U.S.A.
A: No, Not really. it depends though. After Motorex fell, only the 96-98 R33s were legal, unless, under Motorex’s guidance, the cars had been “grandfathered” in beforehand. Buying a car that is “registered and titled” but is not listed with a “Motorex Bond Release” is an extremely bad idea at this point, as the Feds are cracking down on imported Skylines like crazy right now. Also, even if you did import an R33 and make the changes necessary to make it US Legal with regards to the crash test situation, there’s still the problem of the OBD system. in the USA, law states that you have to have an OBDII system on cars 1996 or newer. the R33 Skyline does not have an OBDII it has an OBDI, so technically, until someone designs an OBDII setup for the R33, it will not be possible to import one completely legally, (until it is more than 25 years old)
Q: YOU DESIDE is nissan skyline the best car ever built or not vote?
YOU DESIDE is nissan skyline the best car ever built or not
A: underrated cars ,trouble is there expensive in the US with all the regs given to make them legal for the road, hence this prejudice.
Where i live you can pick up skylines really cheap so for us we can own a great car with great tuning abilities, great looks and a car with tech well before its time and even before most cars still have it the same specs today.
All this for a really cheap price. So for me it def is the best car build and one that i can reach with my budget,Even with the cost of the Skyline in the US it ,would still be a great car to own and a car which never really ends,as looks and power and able to use as a daily car ,what other car would you need to change to.
These car are well proven even before more modern versions like the R32 etc
The GTR model first saw
Four years running the GT-R won the championship in the JTC Group A series, a record of 29 wins out of 29 races.
Because of its dominance, the Skyline was given its own series in 1994 the JGTC, (Japan GT car) series.
In 1991 Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race (First participation) Skyline GT-R won the Group N class. At the Spa Francorchamps 24 hour endurance race 1991 the GT-R won overall.
beating Group A, and Group N1 cars.
From 1991 -1997 the Skyline was undefeated in N1 endurance racing in Japan, winning 50 times.
Willowbank Raceway Mark Jacobsen piloted the R32 further into the record books with a 8.271 @ 171 MPH to set a new record, narrowly beat the old Croydon Racing mark of 8.273. The pass was done “off the trailer” at the meet and he tells me that with further suspension improvements and a little more power the car should be capable of a high 7 sec pass.
So all these that think the Playstation made the skylines are wrong it just most countries had never experience of these great cars.Myself feel i love with the car when the R32 first came out.
A car which is sort after worldwide turns heads young and old ,iam not just saying this but when i felt a shop the other day the workers came out to see me drive off after asking me all about the car inside the shop,So all this and a car which gives you a smile everytime you drive it ,and a car which can course
hate as well as i also get people shouting abuse at me about the car.So for me a low budget Japanese super car which others a 2 door 4 door 4 seater 4 seater RWD AWD station wagon/estate version and even a diesel should def come first in a vote ,As not even a 400k supercar has caused this much
stir in the motorcar world.

Q: is a us title all you need to make a nissan skyline legal to drive in the U.S?
I want to know cause i want to buy a nissan skyline and he says it has a U.S title which makes it legal to drive in the U.S….. thats all I would need besides the shipping papers?
A: The car has to meet regs in the state in which you live also crossing states can also cause problems, each skyline versions requires separate work to meet its own regs and certificates to say appropriate work has been done is also needed,There are a good amount of skylines in the US and many with the paperwork.
Q: Is the Nissan Skyline street legal in Florida? or in any states in America?
If anyone is looking to purchase any model skyline email me! Bringing in 1 skyline doesnt make sense, so if i can help some other people out, i can bring in more than one at a time. Pure japanese street racing cars for people like me to enjoy!
A: Info from other US owners whom own Street legal Skylines R32 upwards and info found myself.
What needs changing depends where you live,as some states require some mods whilst others you wont really need any whilst others will not let you use your car.
Common changes are the emissions being altered,R32 requires a strong bar being added behind the back seat as the petrol tank is really close. Some states require the steering wheel to be on the left but not every state.
This is something you need to chase up with a department of transport where you live or the cop shop.

Q: help me find a nissan skyline simulator game?
Does anyone know of a game where i can modify and drive a nissan skyline thats more of a simulator game?
A: The only thing I can think of is GT.
Q: How much does a Nissan Skyline cost in the United States?
There are Skylines gallore over here in Japan that run between 1K-10K – used. I’m wondering if it’d be worth it to ship one over to the United States and sell it. I’m looking at a ‘96 Skyline GTS25t right now. They’re all right-side driving.
A: its the gt-r’s that really bring in the money. an r34 gt-r can sell for 50k if it is in good condition. if it carries a us title you may even be able to get 75k. for an r33 30-45k, r32, about 25k. some of the 80’s gt-r’s sell for 15-20k but those carry so little reputation. not many people even know about them. if you did want to make money, you would have to ship more than one. you may make a little profit on one but its not really worth the trouble, maybe 3+ could land you 50-75k in profits. remember the shipping is easy. getting them titled can cost as much as 20k. (i live in the middle east where there are also loads of skylines, some lhd. ive actually thought alot about this too)
Q: What do i do to make a Nissan Skyline legal in Calfornia?
i actually have 2 questions. is there any parts in a skyline R34 that is illegal and have to be taken out? my other question is. is there any parts i have to add to the skyline R34 in California?
A: The US won’t let you bring in a Nissan Skyline R34. The R33 Skyline was the only car that had the proper crash testing and other requirements done by Motorex and JK. The only Skyline you can legally import through a Registered Importer is a 96-98 R33 and JK knows what is needed to make them legal so the Registered Importer must get the info from them or JK must do the work.
You have four options for getting an R34:
1. Wait until the car is at least 25 years old. Then it will be considered a “collector’s car” and you won’t have to worry about complying with NHTSA or EPA.
2. Buy one that’s already here and is for sale (good luck finding one that was legally imported).
3. Get a job that requires you to live in Japan, UK, Canada, or any other place that have an abundant supply of R34 Skylines around.
4. What David posted in his link and that is to go through Kaizo Industries. Kaizo will make you a R34 body shell that conforms to US standards. The problem is you will have to find your own engine, tranny, and drivetrain. Let alone a shop capable of installing it all. Also, the car will register as a Kaizo Skyline and not a Nissan Skyline since its considered a different car.

Q: I have a 1997 Nissan Skyline GTS-25; how much is it worth in the states?
I am in Japan right now, and I bought a 1997 Nissan Skyline GTS-25. I am wondering about how much I could get for it in the states, seeing as how I will be going back in about 3 years. Specs:
PS, PB, AC, CD, Nav, 6 Cyl, 249 Horse, Black, Auto, 4 Door.
I looked for sites to try and find this out for myself, but am unsuccessful. Just a round-about figure would be worlds of help…
Thanks!
A: i have seen advertisements in magazines and such for skylines starting at 28k. i dont know how much mods have been done to make them leagal here or even how old they are. im guessing they are for the 2dr models though. ive heard that to make german cars leagal here, it costs about $2k. im guessing that its emmition type modifications but im not sure, maybe also safety standards.
Q: What’s the difference between the Infiniti G35 and the Nissan Skyline 350GT?
I want to know the difference between the 2 cars performance and luxury wise. I know the Skyline is Japanese and is right hand drive. What’s the difference in horsepower and suspensions and what not?
A: They are nearly identical cars. Other than the name and drive side there is nothing different.
Q: how big of a deal is it to drive an unregister nissan skyline in california?
the reason im asking is beacuse im thinking of buying a skyline but the DOT importable car list says only skylines made during the years of 96-98?
A: I don’t really see what the DOT importable car list says, if your question is regarding the legality of driving an unregistered car in California.
I don’t think that this is right, moral, ethical or professional, but AFAIK, anyone caught driving any motor vehicle anywhere in the US that is not “street legal” – meaning that it’s properly licensed, registered, insured, all lights, etc… are working properly and the driver has a valid license to drive, is legally subject to having the cop search their car without first getting consent.
There is no valid reason, IMO for most of these searches that go on on a daily basis. But they are doing it more and more. As a matter of fact, anymore, most of the time a person gets pulled over for even the slightest reason, and the driver and the vehicle BOTH are 100% street legal, the cop will still try to intimidate the driver into waiving their constitutional right to not consent to a search if the cop doesn’t have “probable cause”. Such as the cop sees a weapon(s) or drugs or anything illegal that is in plain sight. But if there is nothing that could cause any harm to the cop in sight, and there is nothing that the cop can see from where he’s standing which should be OUTSIDE of the vehicle, then the driver has every right to NOT consent to any search. It makes no difference WHAT type of vehicle it is, or when it was made and/or imoprted.
The most important thing is that every driver should be aware of thier constitutional rights and not be bullied into waiving them by any cop. But it’s also important and responsible for any driver to not be in that position to begin with. If you can’t afford to register your car and don’t have anyone who is willing to help you out financially with the costs of owning a vehicle of any make, model or year, then it is better and safer for you to not drive at all unless you are in a borrowed or rented vehicle that IS fully street legal.
However, you could take your chances, drive safely, don’t attract any unneccessary attention and you could feasibly get by for some lenght of time with out getting caught. Until you get caught, there is no big deal at all. But don’t expect your luck to hold out indefintely.
How big of a deal it would to be caught also would depend largely on whether you have anything illegal in the car at the time you’re caught, as you would be subject to a search without having to consent. Then, not only would you be in trouble for driving an unregistered vehicle (which although I grew up in California myself – it was many years ago now , and I have not driven in 13 years now and don’t live threre anymore. So, I don’t know if everything else about you and the contents of your unregistered vehicle are squeaky clean, if now a days in California it might just be a Warning, or a Ticket, or if they may take you to jail. I think the laws on that probably vary somewhat from state to state.
If you’re seriously considering getting a car and not registering it, but driving it anyway, it might do you well to look at a pamphlet or two from your local DMV regarding laws in your area and the maximum punishment can be should you get caught.
Maybe the link I’ve put below might be of further help to you.
Best of luck to you.
